Still putting it off until "one day"? [Free Event]

Hey Reader,

A few days ago I shared about my ongoing journey with running retreats, and how some things come and go in our lives depending on what season we are in. Sometimes it's necessary or important to prioritize different things, and the things that matter take the time they take.

Sometimes? It's time to begin. To contend with fear and self-doubt. To connect more deeply with what matters to you, and finding your way to get started on that thing you can't stop thinking about.

In those moments of beginning, the things you do today are things future you gets to benefit from.

Sometimes they’re big decisions. More often, they’re ridiculously ordinary things that don't feel particularly momentous at the time.

You send the email. Sign up for the thing. Have the conversation. Book the trip. Start learning. Apply for the opportunity. Take the first tiny step towards something we’ve been thinking about for months (or, ahem, years).

And eventually you get to look back and realise, Oh. THAT was where this started.

That’s very much the spirit behind Aim Bigger, a free online event I’m speaking at from September 23rd–27th.

It’s bringing together 30 speakers to explore how we stop leaving the things we want permanently sitting in the “maybe someday” pile and actually start moving towards them.

There are sessions about taking action when you don't feel ready, rebuilding self-trust, dealing with fear and self-doubt, making big life changes, figuring out what you actually want and plenty more.

My presentation is all about how to Stop Performing Courage and Start Building a Life You Actually Like.

All of the presentations are available throughout the five days and it's completely free to attend.

You don't need to completely reinvent your life by next Tuesday.

But perhaps there’s one thing future you would be very glad you started now.

Love,
Kate

All of the presentations are available throughout the summit, and it’s completely free to join.

I create spaces and possibilities for your whole self to come alive and thrive. Among other things I'm a transformational coach, yoga teacher, intuitive artist, and fantasy nerd who loves to tell stories and explore the full spectrum of what it means to be human. For the past 15 years I have supported smart, ambitious, deep-feeling humans to feel at home in their bodies and experience more joy, creativity, and satisfaction in their lives without burning out or selling out their health, relationships, or souls. You can expect more questions than answers, frameworks for self-care and embodiment, invitations into your own dreams and creative expression, and the type of musings and pop culture references only an elder millennial could come up with.

Monthly Roots: October Edition Hey Reader, Truly can't believe it's already October 15th. I've been writing this email to you in small moments over the past 2 weeks as I deal with a histamine flare and intense allergies, limiting my screen time to what my eyes will allow me to work with. It's been a "fun" lesson and reminder that my body doesn't always work at the pace of my mind and that steadiness and connection often matter a whole lot more than a machine-like consistency, even if that's...

Hi Reader, I am currently in retreat prep mode as I finalize last minute details for the Hearth and Harvest Retreat this weekend. A dear friend is flying in today to cook nourishing meals and to provide logistical support throughout the retreat. I'm gathering up the art and magic supplies. Every time I get to host an in person experience like this, my heart sings. I get those fizzy nerves of excitement, and know that something magical is going to happen. I almost quit doing retreats entirely....

Monthly Roots: September Edition Hi Reader, The creek! There's a creek a couple of blocks from my house that I love to walk along, and it endlessly fascinates me to see the small changes day to day - which flowers are in bloom, how high the water levels are, if the ducks are home, and then, as the season changes, watching the leaves change and the colors slowly change. Every year the same cycle, but each day brings subtle differences, depending on how long or how often you look. The constant...
